2) Apply every single year

You don’t have to be a freshman every year. 

If you’re getting ready for your junior year, make sure you apply every single year. 

There are also scholarships that may take into account your GPA or whether or not you did a co-op so if you can get a higher GPA and do a co-op and have leadership experience, that is all on top of your first application. 

It never hurts to try. A little extra work will pay off with more scholarship money in your pocket. 

Plus, there are many scholarships available that require students to have done a co-op during their undergraduate degree.  

Doing a co-op gives you the opportunity to learn real life skills as well as boost your resume. 

Students who participate in internships during the summer before their senior year also stand out from the crowd when applying for post graduate programs. 

In addition, it’s important to keep up with grades even if it means taking on less challenging courses like general electives to ensure good marks because no one wants their GPA dragged down by low grades in major courses.
